    USE OF THE WEB SITE

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS This agreement is between the European Distributed Institute of Taxonomy and its agents (collectively “EDIT”), and you and your agents (collectively “you”) regarding the use of this website (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the Terms and Conditions in this document.
  2. OWNERSHIP OF SITE The text, graphics, sound and software (collectively "Content") on this Site is owned by you and your agents and you bare sole and ultimate responsibility for this Content. EDIT supports the computer hardware infrastructure and software content management system that provides access to this Content
  3. ACCESS TO SERVICES AND TERMINATION OF ACCESS You are responsible for all activity logged through your user account and for the activity of other persons or entity you grant access to this Site. You agree to immediately notify EDIT in the event that you become aware of any unauthorized use and you agree that EDIT may terminate your access privileges and remove Content without notice if EDIT believe you have violated any provision of this Agreement.   4. CONTENT You agree to be bound by the Natural History Museum’s IT Conditions of Use document (attached), the terms and conditions of which are hereby incorporated by reference herein.   9. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS This agreement is between the authors of the Guide and their agents (collectively "we" or “us”) and you and your agents (collectively “you”) regarding the use of the software product.
  10. OWNERSHIP OF MATERIALS The text, graphics and software (collectively "Content") in this in this application are licensed to you and remain the property of the Natural History Museum, London. You hereby agree not to distribute any portion of this application to any third party. The application is as beta-level for the purposes of testing and evaluation. Any third party may apply for their own copy and must also agree to these terms and conditions.
    Files created with this software belong to you and are your sole responsibility.
  11. PERMITTED LICENSE USES AND RESTRICTIONS; CONFIDENTIALITY This licence allows you to install and use one copy of the Guide on any computer owned or controlled by you for evaluation and development purposes only. You make make copies for back-up purposes.
    We are not obliged to offer any maintenance or technical support for this beta-stage product, although we will make every effort to do so.
  12. CONSENT TO USE OF DATA You agree to provide us with details of your installation configuration and comments on software performance. Any data supplied in this way will be made anonymous and put into the public domain under a Creative Commons non-commercial license.
  13. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES This software is pre-release “beta” software that may be incomplete and may contain inaccuracies or errors that could cause failures or loss of data.
